Panathinaikos continues to put its trust in the young players from its academy! The Greens announced earlier on Thursday that young Konstantinos Argyropoulos had signed a professional contract, and another player from the academy followed suit.
We’re talking about Seraphim Hatzaras, the 19-year-old right back, who signed a contract running through 2029.
The announcement reads:
Panathinaikos FC announces the signing of its first professional contract with Seraphim Hatzaras. Hatzaras will wear the green jersey through the summer of 2029.
The young right back was born in Athens on January 13, 2007, and began playing soccer at the age of 4 with G.S. Argyroupoli. In 2020, he joined Panathinaikos and has since played in all age groups of the academy; this upcoming season, he will play for the U-19 team.
In his first comments after signing his first professional contract, Seraphim Hatzaras said:
“Signing my first professional contract with Panathinaikos is the fulfillment of a big dream and, at the same time, the beginning of a new challenge in my career. I would like to warmly thank the club for the trust it has placed in me. I will give my very best, working every day with dedication and consistency, so that I can meet the demands and contribute to achieving the team’s goals. I also want to thank my family and everyone who stood by me and believed in me every step of the way.”
