Charles Eloundou is in a precarious situation; he is a key prosecution witness in a serious forgery case, while at the same time facing deportation proceedings over issues related to his residence permit in Cyprus.
The 31-year-old African, who previously played for Anorthosis, Nea Salamina, and Ethnikos, and had agreed to join ASIL Lysos this year, was arrested while his residence permit for our island is pending.
He is currently being held at the “Limnes” Pre-Deportation Detention Center for Migrants. Meanwhile, the case has been filed with the Famagusta District Court and is scheduled for a hearing on September 22, 2026.
