Andrija Zivkovic appeared at the press conference ahead of PAOK’s crucial rematch against Ander.

PAOK knows what it needs to correct from the first game, with Zivkovic emphasizing the need for greater defensive focus and better decision-making in the final third.

At the same time, he sent a message of determination, making it clear that PAOK traveled to Belgium with a single goal: to secure qualification, regardless of how the match unfolds.

Here’s what he said at the press conference:

On what PAOK needs to improve to advance: “We know what we didn’t do well in the first match; we’re expecting a tough game. We need to be better defensively and more focused in the final third of the field.”

On PAOK’s nervousness in the first match following Anderlecht’s early goal: “It’s not easy to concede a goal that quickly. We didn’t start well, but we tried very hard. We lost our focus, and that’s why we didn’t create many chances. We controlled the match, and that’s what we need to do tomorrow as well.”

On the scenario of the match being scoreless in the 80th minute: “You never know what can happen in soccer. You don’t know how things will unfold. We might score quickly or in the final minute. We’ve come here with a specific goal: to leave with a spot in the next round.”

On how he’s feeling this year after last year’s injuries: “I didn’t have many injuries last year—just one, but it was a serious one. The past is… the past, and I don’t like to talk about it. I’m focusing on the next game and thinking only about that—how we’re going to secure our spot in the next round.”

On whether the minor injury he had before the first game is affecting him: “Since you saw me on the court, that means I’m in the best possible shape.”

On being caught off guard by Tsvetkovic and whether he considers him one of Serbia’s greatest talents: “He’s a very talented player and he’s improving every day. I know him well from the national team; he has many years ahead of him. He played well in the first match.”
