Olympiacos has secured its top target to perfectly round out its back four. The club has reached a full agreement with Sandefjord and is now moving forward with the formalities to announce the signing of Zinedin Smailovic.

The Swedish center back will arrive in the Netherlands today, a fact confirmed by the Red-and-Whites, while the total transfer fee will amount to 6.5 million euros. With Medilibar having all his center backs available early on, he can work as effectively as possible during preseason training.

Olympiacos’ next signing is expected to be Zota Silva. Negotiations have progressed rapidly and in leaps and bounds; the Portuguese player may even reach a full agreement with the Piraeus club within the next 24 hours. He will be one of the two wingers to be signed, and it remains to be seen whether the second will be Joel Roca, whose deal appeared to be in the final stages but may be put on hold for a while so that other moves can be made in positions where Olympiacos has a need.

For example, in midfield, Olympiacos has re-engaged in talks regarding Noa Kadiou, while it is also actively considering reinforcements for the attack and the left side of its defensive line.
