AEK’s efforts to finalize the transfer of Kings Kangwa from Hapoel Be’er Sheva are in full swing. AEK has opened a line of communication with the Israeli club, while the Zambian international midfielder appears open to the prospect of continuing his career in Greece.

The financial gap between the two clubs has narrowed significantly, though a final agreement has not yet been reached. The main obstacle is Hapoel’s desire to field Kangwa in their Champions League qualifying match against Vikingur, as he is one of their most important players.

AEK, for its part, wants to finalize the transfer immediately and does not want the player to compete, so that he remains available for the Champions League playoffs. The next few hours are considered crucial, with both AEK and Kangwa himself pushing to finalize the deal as soon as possible.

At the same time, AEK is also considering other midfielders with similar playing styles. Javier Ribalta does not want to get bogged down in a situation that could drag on, though this does not mean that Kangwa is no longer a top choice to strengthen the midfield.

At the same time, Robert Ljubicic is on his way out. Marko Nikolić does not consider him part of his core plans, and LASK has expressed interest in acquiring him on loan with an option to buy. AEK would prefer a permanent transfer, but unless a suitable offer is made, it is most likely that he will be loaned to the Austrian club.
