The… lights are on at “Alphamega Stadium”!

The “Lions” have one goal: to immediately put their disheartening 6-0 loss to APOEL behind them and, with their home field as their weapon, return to winning ways. The Limassol team must approach the match with seriousness and a clear game plan, erasing from everyone’s memory their lackluster performance at GSP.
For their part, the “Red-and-Whites” are seeking their first win of this season’s league campaign, following a draw in their season opener against Olympiakos and a 4-1 loss to AEK. Ángel López expects his players to be more solid defensively and more focused, in order to avoid the numerous defensive errors that have allowed opponents to find the back of the net seven (!) times in just two “rounds.”
As for team news, Hugo Martins will be without Kafu, who was sent off with a red card against the capital-city team. On the other hand, the Spanish coach cannot count on Confé. The French midfielder suffered a collarbone fracture in the previous match and underwent surgery the day before yesterday (09/09).
