With 101 charges on the indictment, the high-profile “Santi” case will be heard starting tomorrow, Wednesday, as Makarios Drousiotis and Kyriaki Kyriakou are scheduled to appear before the Nicosia District Court, for the case to be referred directly to trial before the Nicosia Permanent Criminal Court.
The hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. and marks the first court appearance of the two defendants in connection with the case, following the completion of the police investigation and the filing of the criminal case by the Legal Service.
According to a statement by the Legal Service dated July 24, 2026, the Attorney General of the Republic, having reviewed the evidence submitted by the Police on June 30, 2026, proceeded to file criminal charges against two individuals.
The indictment includes a total of 101 charges, which relate to the offenses of forgery, distribution of forged documents, publishing false news, and harassment.
The case was filed with the Nicosia District Court, and the charges were served on the two individuals involved by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Police Headquarters.
Following the filing of the case, the date for the first court appearance was set for September 16, after which the case will be referred to the Nicosia Permanent Criminal Court.
