A commotion broke out on the evening of Tuesday, July 22, in Gardiki, Aspropotamos, in Trikala, when residents reported the presence of a bear within the village.
According to residents’ accounts, the wild animal roamed the village streets in search of food, without displaying any aggressive behavior. Its presence was noticed by residents, who alerted their neighbors and remained at a safe distance until the bear moved away toward the surrounding forest area.

The relevant authorities remind residents and visitors not to approach wild animals, to avoid leaving trash or food exposed, and to immediately notify the Forest Service or the police in the event of another sighting.
