The President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, on behalf of the State, to the families of those who lost their lives last week during the severe weather and in the shipwreck off Kyrenia.
Addressing the members of the Cabinet at the start of the Cabinet meeting at the Presidential Palace, the President of the Republic said: “I would like to comment on last week, when we witnessed two tragic events. One in free Famagusta, with the unjust loss of one of our compatriots, and in occupied Kyrenia, with the tragedy of the shipwreck that claimed so many lives. In human tragedies, in human losses, the pain is the same, and today, before we begin, I would like to express, on behalf of the State and on behalf of the Republic of Cyprus, my heartfelt condolences to the families, and loved ones of those who lost their lives.
