The 15th edition of the Gran Gala del Calcio, the grand celebration of Italian soccer organized by the Italian Footballers' Association, honored the top players in Serie A for the 2025–26 season, with several big names taking center stage.
Inter’s Federico Dimarco was named Player of the Season, while Inter itself, having won the Scudetto, took home the award for best team. Cesc Fàbregas also received a major honor, being named Coach of the Year following Como’s impressive run.
Nico Paz was one of the night’s standout performers, as he was named Serie A’s best young player and also earned a spot on the season’s all-star team. The Argentine attacking midfielder for Como was named to the same team as his compatriot Lautaro Martínez, as well as names like Luka Modrić and Scott McTominay.
Rounding out the top XI were Mile Sviljar in goal, Marco Palestra, Alessandro Bastoni, Manuel Akangi, and Federico Dimarco on defense, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Scott McTominay, and Luka Modrić in midfield, while Nico Paz, Lautaro Martínez, and Doniel Malen were selected for the attack.
Maurizio Mariani won the award for best referee, while Mattia Liberali was named Serie B’s best young player. Meanwhile, the award for the best goal of the season went to Juventus’ Francisco Conceição for his spectacular volley against Roma.
The evening also had a strong symbolic character, as Franco Baresi was honored, and special mention was also made of the Italian national team that won the 2006 World Cup.
