Giorgos Donis spoke about his team’s poor performance in creating scoring opportunities during their match against Cape Verde.

The Saudi Arabia coach, however, while reflecting on his team’s performance in the tournament, described it as a good journey and thanked his players.

“We were very poor at creating chances. No one can win a game that way. We had trouble putting pressure on Green Cape’s defense, except for a brief period in the second half. Our offense wasn’t performing well,” he said, adding:

“Our biggest problem today was creating chances, and that was obvious. It wasn’t what we wanted, because when we played a match like this against a team more or less at our level, our performance wasn’t good. That’s a cause for concern. It was a good trip, and I’d like to thank the players.”
