“This government has implemented a generous social policy,” says Keravnos, responding to the tactic of making campaign promises ahead of the presidential election

Appearing as a guest on “Alpha on Sunday,” Finance Minister Makis Keravnos lays his cards on the table and addresses the timeline of the crisis regarding the electricity interconnection project, what needs to be done now, and how the Israelis should play a more active role.

He also responds to Nikolaos Papadopoulos regarding their relationship. Meanwhile, he sends a clear message about his position within DIKO.

“At some point, there’s also the issue of age, and we need to make way—or rather, provide opportunities—for younger people,” he states as a cabinet reshuffle looms, explaining that he accepted Christodoulides’ proposal to join the government on the understanding that there would be an end date.

He also addresses the other economic challenges the government is called upon to tackle.
