The “puzzle” of the Round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup continues to take shape, as 12 teams have now “secured” a spot there, while six matchups have already been determined.

Spain had little trouble against Austria and won 3-0, while Portugal eliminated Croatia with a 2-1 victory and also advanced to the next round.

The two teams from the Iberian Peninsula will face off in the Round of 16 next Monday (July 6 – 10:00 p.m.) in Dallas.
