Five women. One mind. An attempt to bring a work to life. The play is based on Lena Kitsopoulou’s *Frankenstein’s Diary*, which is brought to the stage through an original adaptation for five actors. Rather than following the chronological structure of the diary, the play reimagines the material as five inner voices, which coexist simultaneously on stage and reveal the journey of a creator as she strives to complete her work. In her effort to understand Frankenstein, however, she ultimately comes face to face with her own Monster.

Because every work is born out of an internal conflict.

Five women coexist in the same space. They are not five separate people. They are voices of the same consciousness. Ambition, who insists on bringing a work into being. The Destroyer, who tears down every certainty. The Inert One, who stands frozen in the face of time and everyday life. The Observer, who takes in the world without intervening. The Orphan, who carries trauma, loss, and the need to be loved.

The stage resembles a house, but gradually reveals itself to be the interior of a mind. A desk, a sofa, a table, a rug, and a wall of inquiry compose a space where everyday life, memory, creation, and failure coexist.

The selection of five young actors resonates with the very core of the play. The anguish of creation and the search for a personal voice meet artists who are at the beginning of their own journeys. Thus, the author’s personal diary becomes a collective theatrical experience for a new generation of artists seeking their own voice. But how does something that does not yet exist find its voice?

The performance is presented as part of the 2026 Satirical Theater Festival, a new theatrical platform created with the aim of providing a space for theater creators and groups from Cyprus and abroad.
