The U.S. is conducting a comprehensive review of its Visa Waiver Program (Visa Waiver) program, and no new countries have been admitted to it, sources told CNA regarding the prospect of Cyprus joining the program.
According to relevant sources, the U.S. has confirmed the progress made by Cyprus in meeting the technical requirements for joining the Visa Waiver Program, but the U.S. government is currently reassessing the program and has not admitted any new countries into it.

It should be noted that, during the July visit to Cyprus by the Assistant Secretary for Strategic Policy and Planning at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Rob Lo, it was reaffirmed that Cyprus has met the required technical criteria.
As noted in a statement following Mr. Lo’s meeting with the Deputy Minister to the President, Eirini Piki, further consideration of the matter will take place in accordance with U.S. internal procedures.
