Nearly three decades after Tupac Shakur’s death, one of the most talked-about cases in hip-hop history has reached a verdict.
Dwayne “Keffe D” Davis was found guilty by a Las Vegas court for the death of the legendary rapper, in a ruling that put an end to years of investigations, speculation, and unanswered questions.
The 63-year-old Davis was not considered by the prosecution to be the person who shot Tupac. According to the indictment, he played a pivotal role in organizing the attack, as he allegedly participated in planning the retaliation, secured the weapon, and coordinated the team behind the attack.
The jury reached its verdict in less than three hours. His sentence is expected to be handed down on October 13, and he faces the possibility of spending the rest of his life in prison.
