Police in Limassol arrested a 26-year-old man yesterday afternoon, as part of an investigation into three cases of burglary and theft, as well as illegal possession of property.
Specifically, members of the Bicycle Patrol located and stopped the 26-year-old for questioning yesterday afternoon in Limassol, a 26-year-old man who had been identified by police officers as the individual who committed one of the three burglary and theft cases under investigation.
During the subsequent search, a sum of money was found in his possession, for which he was unable to provide satisfactory explanations, and he was arrested for the flagrant offense of unlawful possession of property.
The 26-year-old was taken to the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department offices, where he was re-arrested pursuant to a court warrant, in connection with the burglary cases, as relevant testimony emerged against him regarding the other two cases as well.
He is expected to appear before the Limassol District Court this morning for proceedings to issue a detention order against him.
