New details are coming to light from the hypnotherapist’s testimony regarding the critical hours leading up to the death of Giorgos Mazonakis.
Giorgos Mazonakis’s reservations about the cost of plasmapheresis—which, according to the testimony of hypnotherapist Nasos Komianos, amounted to 6,000 euros— as well as the singer’s change of heart regarding the treatment, are included in the new details that have come to light regarding the final days before his death.
According to what Mr. Komianos reportedly testified to the investigator on September 21, Giorgos Mazonakis had initially agreed to follow the proposed treatment program, but the next day he reportedly changed his mind, expressing his objection to the cost of plasmapheresis.
“During our phone call on Monday, Mazonakis accepted the treatment and its cost without any objection. On Tuesday, my doctor forwarded a message from Mazonakis stating that he had changed his mind and would only undergo hydrotherapy due to the cost of plasmapheresis. Specifically, he stated that “I’m not here to pay 3,000 and 6,000; I’ll come for hydrotherapy.” This confirmed that he was indeed moody, just as Ms. Gaka had told me. “I wouldn’t take any commission from whatever treatment Mazonakis underwent at her clinic,” the hypnotherapist stated in his testimony.
As the hypnotherapist testified, around 10:00 p.m. he sent a text message to the doctor, asking, “Is George okay?” but received no reply. He then called her, and she told him that the ambulance service had picked up Mazonakis because his blood pressure had dropped and he was “talking nonsense.”
He asked her why she hadn’t accompanied the singer to the hospital and, according to his testimony, she replied that she had a client.
The hypnotherapist described the doctor as generally a calm person, noting that even during that specific phone call, she did not give him the impression that the situation was particularly serious.
Subsequently, as he reported, he received a notification from a website that Mazonakis had died at Elpis Hospital. “I was shocked,” he testified, adding that he sent a message to Ms. G. to ask if she had been informed of the death, and she replied, “Yes, just now.”

Elsewhere in his testimony, the hypnotherapist referred to a message he had received earlier that read “everything’s fine,” to which he replied with a heart emoji.
As he testified, he also received an MMS message with a photo showing Giorgos Mazonakis undergoing treatment. He responded to this message with a heart emoji as well.
However, as he noted, he was put off by the fact that he was sent a photo of the patient without it appearing that the patient had consented, as his eyes were closed and his leg appeared to be limp.
After news of the singer’s death broke, the hypnotherapist reported that he sent a message to Ms. G., expressing his sorrow over what had happened. As he said, he felt particularly bad, since he believed he had played a part in bringing the people involved back into contact with one another.
Later, he sent her another message, “Hey, what’s gotten into you?”, and late that same evening he wrote to her that he was sorry for what they were going through and that he would be there for her if she needed him.
