“Averoff is a man who can govern,” says the ALMA lawmaker

Appearing as a guest on “25 Minutes” on “Alpha on Sunday,” MP Irini Charalambidou argues that ALMA must run for the Presidency of the Republic with Odysseas Michaelides as its candidate, since, as she maintains, the movement cannot make compromises.

She states that she is completely free in her collaboration with ALMA, explains why she is not joining the movement as a member, and makes it clear that she does not intend to seek a leadership position within it. At the same time, she emphasizes that those in politics must be prepared to pay the price.

Regarding the presidential election, she appears open to collaborations, rejects preemptive exclusions, and makes it clear that she does not wish to be a candidate, as she does not want to lose her credibility.

Despite her disagreements with many of Averof Neophytou’s political positions, Irini Charalambidou acknowledges that he is a man capable of governing. She also describes her collaboration with Anita Dimitriou as excellent, while she calls Nikos Christodoulides a “show-off.”

Among other things, she refers to the Parliament’s blunder regarding the “Pothen Esches” declarations, as well as her greatest concern for Cyprus today.
