A fire broke out in a private vehicle that was parked in a field in Strovolos. According to a post on “X” by Fire Department spokesperson Andreas Kettis, two fully staffed fire trucks from the Nicosia Fire Stations responded to the incident.
According to Mr. Kettis, the fire was extinguished by firefighters using water hoses and breathing apparatus.

The Fire Department’s press officer noted that an investigation into the cause of the fire will follow.
Furthermore, according to a related announcement, from 6:00 a.m. on October 26, 2026, through 6:00 a.m. on October 27, 2026, responded to 37 calls for assistance (19 fires, 16 special services, and 2 false alarms).
