Donald Trump said he believed a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine was close, amid speculation that such an agreement could be finalized at the G20 summit in December.
When asked about rumors that he might bring Russia and Ukraine to the negotiating table during the G20 summit, in December, at his resort in Doral, Florida, the U.S. president expressed optimism that an agreement could be reached.
“I think we’re very close to a deal—I’ve never said this before— the animosity between the two leaders runs deep, as you know, but there’s a serious possibility of a deal, and we’re working on many agreements,” said Donald Trump.
