Lazio continues its impressive run in Serie A and is enjoying its solo lead at the top!

Gennaro Gattuso’s team defeated Cagliari 2-1 at the “Olimpico,” completing the comeback three minutes before the end of regulation time, and took full advantage of Inter’s loss to Milan. As a result, after ten matchdays, they are three points ahead of the “Nerazzurri,” with a record of nine wins and one draw. In fact, along with city rival Roma, they are the only teams that remain undefeated in the league.

Cagliari caught the home team off guard and took the lead in the 20th minute with a goal by Nzola, putting the Romans on the back foot. The response, however, was immediate, as Isaksen equalized in the 36th minute, breathing new life into his team. Lazio continued to press and were rewarded in the 83rd minute, when Andrea Pinamonti, who had come on as a substitute, found the back of the net with a header and secured the valuable three points. Mandas was back in the starting lineup, while Cagliari finished the match with ten players due to a red card in the 91st minute.

Meanwhile, Frosinone confirmed that it is one of the pleasant surprises of this year’s Serie A. The newly promoted team defeated Torino 2-0, reached 20 points, and climbed to sixth place in the standings, positioning itself as a serious contender for a European spot.

Fares opened the scoring in the 48th minute, setting the tone for the victory, while Giacomo Calo sealed the final result in the 93rd minute. This was Frosinone’s third three-point win in their last four matches, as well as their fifth consecutive home victory at the “Stadio Benito Stirpe.” Their home stadium has become a veritable impregnable fortress, with Juventus being the only team to have managed to beat them there.
