The perpetrator confessed his subsequent actions to the investigators. He left the 61-year-old’s body at his home throughout the night, and the next day, after placing it in his vehicle, he transported it to her orchard in Saïtta.
“As he stated, he threw her into a drainage ditch, while the hammer he used was thrown onto a pergola located on his property.”

Following the 43-year-old’s shocking confession, investigators took him last night to the spot where he indicated exactly where he had dumped the body.
Members of the Special Disaster Response Unit (EMAK) and the fire department set up an operation and recovered the remains. Medical Examiner Nicolas Charalambous conducted an autopsy at the scene.
The scene remained cordoned off, and further searches were conducted in the morning both in her orchard and at the perpetrator’s residence. Investigators located and seized the murder weapon.
A Devastating Blow
That morning, medical examiner Nikolas Charalambous performed an autopsy on Vasileva’s body. As the autopsy revealed, her death was caused by a severe traumatic brain injury inflicted by a blunt, hollow object.
