Panetolikos set a negative record in its Super League history following a 1-0 loss to OFI in Agrinio on Matchday 9 of the league.
Kenan Kontra’s goal in the 89th minute forced the Agrinio-based team into its sixth consecutive loss, a streak that ties the club’s longest losing streak in a single Super League season.

Yiannis Anastasiou’s team had chances to turn the game around, even hitting the woodwork twice in the first ten minutes. In the second half, they were reduced to ten men in the 69th minute, before finally conceding the decisive goal shortly before the end.
Panetolikos had once again reached six consecutive losses in the same season, while its longest losing streak overall is seven consecutive losses, which occurred between the end of the 2018–19 season and the start of the 2019–20 season.
