Starting Wednesday, November 4, 10 a.m. through Monday, November 30, at 2 p.m., applications for student grants for the 2025–2026 academic year will be submitted electronically, according to an announcement by the Grants and Benefits Service (YXE) of the Ministry of Finance.
According to the announcement, families of Greek students who attended an academic institution in Cyprus during the 2025/2026 academic year are eligible to apply, provided their family resides permanently in Greece, as well as repatriated families of Cypriot students who attended an academic institution in Cyprus or abroad during the 2025–2026 academic year.
Applications must be submitted electronically by a parent or guardian via the Service’s online platform (https://sg-yxe.mof.gov.cy), which will open for applications on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
To submit an application, parents or guardians must have an account with the CY Login e-Service, which is the personal account that allows citizens secure access to government e-services. Those who do not already have an account can create one here: https://cge.cyprus.gov.cy/cyloginregistration/register
Cypriot repatriated applicants must also verify their account. Verification can be done via e-banking, by video call, or by visiting a Citizen Service Center with their ID. Instructions: https://cge.cyprus.gov.cy/cyloginregistration/knowledgebase/help/identification
Account verification is not required for applicants from mainland Greece.
