Andrew Marcus Lagoutis, a member of the Cyprus Olympic Committee delegation at the 4th Youth Olympic Games, being held in Dakar, Senegal.
The young Cypriot swimmer delivered impressive performances, finishing second in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 22.98—a personal best—among 55 athletes.
His success continued. In the 50-meter butterfly, Lagoutis clocked a time of 24.67, once again taking second place—this time among 42 athletes—and securing his spot in the final of that event as well.
These two qualifications represent a tremendous success for Cypriot swimming and confirm Andrew’s strong presence at the Games, flying the Cypriot flag high at this important event.
The Cyprus Olympic Committee warmly congratulates Andrew Marcus Lagoutis on his outstanding performances, as well as the Cyprus Swimming Federation for its contribution to the development and successes of the sport.
It also extends its sincere thanks to LOGICOM (Platinum Partner) for its long-standing collaboration and valuable support in carrying out this mission.
