On one hand, Aris initially saw its 5-game unbeaten streak (4 wins – 1 draw) come to an end in their away match against Panathinaikos in the Superbet Greek Cup, while a few days later they suffered a heavy 3-0 loss to Levadiakos, who scored their first goals of the season in Matchday 9. They are in 5th place in the standings, tied on 16 points with OFI, and one point behind AEK, which, however, has played one fewer game.
On the team front, Michalis Grigoriou, Ratic and Bruma trained normally and are available, while the following players were left out of the squad:
On the other hand, Panetolikos got off to an impressive start in this year’s league with three consecutive wins against Asteras, Kalamata, and Kifissia, but this was followed by six consecutive losses—albeit against a tough schedule that included matches against AEK, Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, PAOK, and OFI. In any case, with this six-game losing streak, the team matched the longest losing streak in its history in the top division. Last week, they lost 1-0 at home to the Cretans, failing to score for the fourth consecutive game.
Yiannis Anastasiou will be without the suspended Opoku and Prodromitis, as well as the injured Satsias.
Probable starting lineups:
Aris (Grigoriou): Velio – Petris, Fabiano, Dele Basiru, Richards – Hongla, Jensen – Gare, Kouame, Papasaraphianos – Kantevere
Panaitolikos (Anastasiou): Xenopoulos – Mavrias, Granath, Stagić, Manrique – Aleksic, Esteban, Thymianis, Genepo – Banzi, Basi.
