They paid the price… Como and Tasos Douvikas!
Inter wanted to bounce back from their loss in the “Derby della Madonnina,” and they did just that against the Greek striker and his teammates.
The “Nerazzurri,” striking early in the first half, defeated Como 2-0 in a crucial match for the 11th round of Serie A and remained within striking distance of league-leading Lazio.
Como failed to score for the first time in a month—during which they had been consistently finding the back of the net—and remained in fifth place in the standings. Espósito opened the scoring off a cross from Spence, while Tiram, who was named MVP, scored the second goal in the 19th minute, sealing the 2-0 victory.
