Representatives from Pafilia Property Developers and Minthis recently traveled to Kazakhstan to support UNICEF’s first charity golf tournament. The event brought together diplomats, business leaders, and active philanthropists, combining sports with charitable giving and the forging of new relationships.

The event raised approximately 60 million tenge (120,000 euros) to support UNICEF’s work.

The tournament concluded with a formal dinner and a charity auction. The auction featured unique sports experiences and collectibles associated with top sports figures, including tennis champion Elena Rybakina, soccer player Lionel Messi, and Olympic figure skating champion Mikhail Shaidorov.

Minthis at the Heart of the Event

Minthis made a significant impression at both the tournament and the gala dinner, introducing the destination to a new international audience.

During the evening, Renata Ben-Dor and Antonis Tsagaridis represented Pafilia and Minthis. They addressed the guests and presented the certificates to the grand prize winners on stage, along with gifts from Minthis. Their presence provided an opportunity to introduce Minthis to guests from Kazakhstan and the wider Central Asian region. Representatives from internationally recognized organizations, such as the Ritz-Carlton and Tatler Asia, were also in attendance.

For Pafilia, participation in the event is part of its broader international growth strategy and its efforts to strengthen its presence in the Central Asian market. It represents an important step toward building new relationships and strengthening ties between Cyprus and Kazakhstan.

Renata Ben-Dor stated: “It was our pleasure to support UNICEF’s work through this inaugural event and to introduce Minthis to such an important audience. For us, international expansion means more than just establishing a presence in new markets. It is an opportunity to build meaningful relationships, find common values, and introduce Cyprus to people from different parts of the world.”

New Connections for Cyprus

Pafilia’s participation in the event also helped promote Cyprus to an audience with increasingly strong international ties. Through business, sports, and charitable initiatives, the company is building relationships that extend beyond the real estate sector, while showcasing the hospitality and travel experiences Cyprus has to offer.

For Minthis, the visit to Kazakhstan was an opportunity to share the story of a destination that draws its identity from the natural landscape, history, and winemaking tradition of Paphos. It was also an opportunity to meet people who appreciate nature, wellness, and hospitality.

UNICEF’s support gave the event a meaningful purpose, demonstrating how an international event can forge new relationships while contributing to an important cause.

Through their presence in Kazakhstan, Pafilia and Minthis continue to build relationships in new markets and showcase Cyprus’s unique character to an international audience.
