ALPHAMEGA Supermarkets, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility program “Child, Nutrition & Health,” are organizing a special Nutrition and Cooking Workshop for children ages 8 to 14, offering a unique experience of learning, creativity, and fun.
The workshop will take place on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Intercollege (the main campus of the University of Nicosia), with two groups of participants:
Group A: 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (Children from Nicosia and Larnaca)
Group B: 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Children from Limassol, Paphos, and Paralimni)
Led in the kitchen by Chef and Brand Ambassador for ALFAMEGA Supermarkets, Christina Christofi, the young participants will put on their aprons, transform into little chefs, and prepare healthy and creative recipes, discovering that healthy eating can be delicious, enjoyable, and creative all at once.
Before the cooking session, members of the Cyprus Association of Dietitians and Nutritionists will present, through interactive activities and games, the basic principles of a balanced diet, helping children learn about the nutritional value of foods and adopt healthy eating habits from an early age.
Next, the children will get to work in the kitchen, where, under the guidance of Chef Christina Christofi and her team, they will create their own healthy recipes step by step. Through hands-on participation, they will learn basic cooking techniques, practice teamwork, and discover the joy of creation.
The workshop is designed as a comprehensive educational experience that combines learning with fun, encouraging children to make creative use of their free time away from screens, while fostering their love for healthy eating and cooking.
Upon completion of the workshop, all young chefs will receive a commemorative certificate of participation and gifts from ALFAMEGA Supermarkets.
The Nutrition and Cooking Workshop is organized in collaboration with the Cyprus Association of Dietitians and Nutritionists and with the support of Intercollege’s Culinary Arts Programs.
Participation in the workshop is free.
Parents can register their children by July 17, 2026, by 12:00 p.m., by filling out the online registration form available on the website:
Due to the hands-on nature of the workshop and to ensure the active participation of all children, the number of available spots is limited. Each group will accommodate up to 22 children.
In the event that the number of applications exceeds the number of available spots, participants will be selected via an electronic lottery, ensuring equal opportunities for all. The parents of the selected children will be notified in a timely manner via personal contact and will receive all the necessary information regarding their participation.
