Andreas Melanarkitis and Christina Aristidou win gold at the 2026 WorldChefs Global Pastry Chefs Challenge and secure their spot in the world finals in Shanghai.

Limassol, Cyprus – A major international accolade for Cypriot gastronomy and a moment of great pride for Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Limassol. Andreas Melanarkitis and Christina Aristidou, members of the resort’s pastry team, won the gold medal in the Southern Europe semifinals of the WorldChefs Global Pastry Chefs Challenge 2026, in Belgrade, securing their spot in the world finals to be held in Shanghai in March 2027.

This success is a testament to the talent, creativity, technical skill, and dedication of these two professionals, who proudly represent both Parklane and Cyprus on the international culinary scene.

For Parklane, this distinction takes on even greater significance as it reflects the value of professional development, continuous learning, and the cultivation of talent through daily work and collaboration. Andreas Melanarkitis, who has been working at the resort for two years and has risen to the position of Chef de Partie, continues to hone his skills through the demanding and creative art of pastry making. Working alongside him, Christina Aristidou stands out for her dedication and creativity, with a promising future in the field.

Equally crucial is the contribution of Parklane’s Executive Pastry Chef, Nearchos Aristidou, who guides and supports the team, encouraging creativity, technical excellence, and continuous growth. This success also serves as recognition of the team’s collective effort and the meaningful relationship between a mentor and young professionals who share the same passion for pastry arts.

Andreas Melanarkitis and Christina Aristidou are also members of the Cyprus Chefs’ Association, contributing through their efforts and accolades to the promotion of Cypriot culinary creativity.

Parklane is particularly proud to congratulate Andreas and Christina on this significant achievement, as well as Nearchos Aristidou for his guidance and support. As preparations for the world finals in Shanghai begin, the entire team wishes them every success in the next major step of their journey.

Because great achievements are not just about the result, but also about talent, character, perseverance, and the people who grow together.
