Investigations by police officers revealed that it had been loaded into the arrested officer’s vehicle by him during his night shift. The officer was subsequently arrested by his colleagues, and according to reports, he admitted to committing the theft.

Police Spokesperson Vyronas Vyronos described the case as serious and noted that it is being investigated by the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (CID), emphasizing the police leadership’s determination to showtolerate such incidents.
As he stated, the case will be brought to justice as soon as possible, while police leadership is taking steps to place the officer on administrative leave.
