The transfer of a detainee to a courthouse in Ohio was eventful, as the man managed to remove his handcuffs, attacked police officers, broke two of their noses, and ultimately required the use of a Taser to subdue him at the building’s entrance.
Timothy Rigal had been convicted of assault and robbery just minutes before his transfer to prison. However, as seen in the video, at some point he managed to remove his handcuffs and struck the officer escorting him in the face, knocking him to the ground.
Rigal then knocked a second police officer to the ground, and when he reached the staircase, he slipped past a third officer by sliding down the steps.
Despite the fact that two other security guards were at the bottom of the stairs, Rigal managed to escape from them as well.
His escape, however, came to an end at the building’s entrance when one of the police officers used a Taser to subdue him.
Following these actions, Rigal was taken to prison, and he is expected to face new charges for his conduct in court.
