The Kuwaiti armed forces announced early Wednesday morning that they are taking action to counter “hostile attacks involving missiles and drones,” while new U.S. strikes against Iran are underway.
“Kuwait’s air defense is currently repelling hostile attacks carried out by drones,” they reported via X, denouncing Iran’s “criminal” action.
“The Army General Staff clarifies that, if explosions are heard, they will be the result of enemy attacks being intercepted by air defense systems,” they added, using standard phrasing.
Meanwhile, Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior announced late Tuesday night into Wednesday, for the fourth consecutive night, that air raid sirens had been activated in the emirate, as U.S. airstrikes against Iran were underway.
Also using standard phrasing, it reported via X that “the siren sounded” and advised “citizens and residents to remain calm and head to the nearest safe location.”
