Karalis gave it his all, but was defeated again by Dupont in Budapest

“Manolo,” who last week won the silver medal at the European Championships in Birmingham by clearing 6.00 m, managed a few days ago at the Diamond League meet in Lausanne to set a new Greek outdoor record of 6.16 m, just one point shy of his own indoor personal best (6.17 m) in the indoor competition.

His main rival tonight will be Duplantis, as the Swede holds the world record (6.31 m) and seems unbeatable.
