Fiorentina comfortably advanced to the Round of 16 of the Italian Cup. The “Viola” swept aside newly promoted Serie A side Pisa 3-0 at the “Artemio Franchi” Stadium in the Round of 32 of the competition and advanced to the fourth round, where they will face Genoa, demonstrating that they have regained their form since Paolo Vanoli took over as coach, making it “two wins in a row” following last Friday’s victory in Venice.
The Tuscan side dominated throughout the match and scored on a shot by Pellegrino in the 40th minute, Gnodo’s shot in the 71st minute following a pass from Nige, and Gonzalo’s spectacular strike from outside the box in the 90th minute plus 2.
