Olympiacos is entering the final stretch of its transfer search with a clear priority of signing a top-tier winger, as the "Red-and-Whites" want to finalize the deal in time to have the new player available for the European roster. The next few hours are considered crucial, with several options having been considered and the French market firmly in the spotlight.
One of the names high on the list is that of Yann Gboho of Toulouse. The 25-year-old French winger, originally from the Ivory Coast, is coming off a strong season with 10 goals and three assists and is a particularly attractive prospect. Toulouse is reportedly seeking to sell him immediately, as his contract expires next summer, with the club asking for between 12 and 14 million euros. The situation, however, is far from straightforward, as there is interest from abroad, with an MLS team having made a move for the player and Lyon also emerging as a contender.
At the same time, the latest reports are once again strongly suggesting the possibility of signing Gesim Yassin from Strasbourg. He is a 20-year-old Moroccan international who primarily plays as a right winger but is also capable of playing on the opposite flank. He is left-footed, with speed, explosiveness, and a particular knack for one-on-one situations—qualities that have made him stand out at a young age.
Yassin’s situation is considered extremely difficult; however, recent reports suggest that Olympiacos remains interested in him and is attempting to determine whether there is a way to move forward with the deal. Strasbourg invested approximately seven million euros to sign him in January 2026 and has tied him to a contract through 2030, which significantly raises the bar. The young star has already begun to attract the interest of several European clubs, with his performances having significantly boosted his market value.
In the French market, there is another name that is not going unnoticed. He is 25-year-old Georgian Zouriko Davitashvili of Saint-Étienne, a player in whom Olympiacos has shown interest in the past. He is also among the players being considered to strengthen the wings, as the Piraeus-based club is looking for a player who can immediately bring quality and attacking flair to the team’s play.
Meanwhile, the situation regarding Tiago Nuss remains open. The 25-year-old Argentine winger from OFI has caught the eye of José Luis Medilibar, and his situation has been seriously discussed, especially in light of the developments surrounding Zélson Martins. Reports from Russia indicate that Krasnodar is interested in the Portuguese player, with sources even mentioning an offer that could reach six million euros. Should Zélson be transferred, the possibility of a move for Nous becomes even more intriguing, though it cannot be ruled out that his situation will be considered regardless of the outcome of the Portuguese player’s case.
Olympiacos, however, is also looking beyond immediate reinforcements. OFI’s Giannis Apostolakis has firmly landed on the “red-and-white” radar. The 21-year-old star is a product of the Cretan team’s youth academy, and his significant improvement over the past year has not gone unnoticed by the Piraeus club’s staff. He primarily plays in central midfield but can also contribute on the right side, and Olympiacos has been keeping an eye on him for some time now.
