A forensic medical examination of the victim revealed three lacerations in the scapular region and one laceration on the left side of the neck.

According to the evidence presented before the Court, the 22-year-old allegedly met the victim on June 7 while riding a bus. The two young men exchanged contact information, and, according to the allegations attributed to the suspect, he formed the impression from that encounter that the student came from a wealthy family.

Two days later, on June 9, and again according to what was heard in court, the suspect allegedly purchased a knife, and on June 11, he contacted the victim, telling him that he had found a job paying 50 euros a day. That same evening, the 22-year-old student went to the Kofinou area to meet the suspect.

From there on, investigators are looking into a series of allegations attributed to the suspect regarding the events that led to the young man’s death.

The victim’s body was found in an open area in Kofinou, and a knife was also found at the scene and seized as evidence. The findings of the forensic examination are also of particular significance. According to the results, three cuts were found on the 22-year-old’s body in the scapular region and one on the left side of his neck.

At the same time, according to the police, during the suspect’s arrest, the victim’s personal belongings were found in his possession, including transit passes and a bank card bearing the 22-year-old student’s name.

Authorities are also investigating reports that messages were sent and phone calls were made to the victim’s father demanding a ransom for his release.
