“This year’s European Commission report on the rule of law confirms Greece’s steady progress in this area, noting improvements in 4 recommendations compared to 7 in 2020. As a result, it is now among the mere 13 member states of the ‘27’ that are showing positive progress across all chapters,” the prime minister emphasized in a post.
He points out that the official data reflect our country’s positive trajectory in recent years. “They also constitute the best response to the baseless accusations of the opposition’s propaganda. But, above all, they are the most emphatic refutation of all those who insist on tarnishing our country’s image with false slogans,” he adds.
“Clearly, the effort continues. That is why the agenda for Greece in 2030 proposes the institutional reform of the state, with constitutional revision as a pivotal step. “Our proposal further strengthens the independence of the judiciary, the modernization of the public sector, and the multifaceted protection of citizens,” says Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Finally, he emphasizes that now is the time for reforms aimed at collective progress. “Leaving behind the rigidities of the past and rising to the challenges of tomorrow. This is a challenge we must overcome, with the trust of society. Because a strong and just democracy is a prerequisite for a strong Greece,” he adds.
