A traffic accident involving two city buses occurred in Neapoli, Thessaloniki, at noon on Wednesday, when one of the vehicles crashed into a bus stop where civilians were standing.
According to initial reports, the incident took place on Andrea Papandreou Street when a city bus traveling ahead was struck from behind by a second bus.
As a result of the collision, the first bus veered off course and crashed into the bus stop, where people were waiting at the time.
So far, three people have been reported injured in the accident; they are said to have suffered fractures, and a rescue operation was required to free one person from the vehicle.
Emergency medical services (EKAV), the Fire Department, and the Highway Patrol rushed to the scene, and the circumstances surrounding the collision are currently under investigation.
