A 54-year-old taxi driver was taken to the hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning with a serious ear injury, following an attack that, according to her report, was carried out by a 35-year-old male passenger in Nea Ionia.
The incident occurred in the early hours of October 4, 2026, when the 54-year-old reportedly got into an argument with her passenger.

According to the woman’s complaint, during the altercation, the 35-year-old man moved menacingly toward her and then bit her in the face, causing a serious injury and severing part of her ear.
The 54-year-old woman was rushed to Elpis Hospital, where she received first aid.
The 35-year-old man was arrested by authorities, and charges were filed against him for aggravated assault and making threats.
