With two matches and a total of seven goals, Matchday 7 of Serie A came to a close, with Monza and Torino celebrating resounding away and home victories, respectively.
Monza put on an outstanding performance at the “U-Power Stadium,” defeating Cagliari 4-0 and ending the visitors’ four-game unbeaten streak.
The home team took the lead in the 39th minute with a goal by Kuadio, and early in the second half, Varela made it 2-0 in the 47th minute. Monza continued to control the game, and in the 66th minute, Robinson extended the lead to 3-0.
Varela, son of former PAOK center back Fernando, struck again in the 79th minute, setting the final score at 4-0 and capping off a great night for his team, while he himself has already scored 6 goals in Serie A, placing him second in the scoring standings!
Meanwhile, Torino made a resounding victory at the “Enio Tardini,” defeating Parma 3-0 and spoiling Alberto Gilardino’s debut on the home team’s bench.
The “Granata” came out strong and opened the scoring in the 4th minute with a goal by Simeone. In the 24th minute, Che Adams, following an assist from Belkalem, doubled his team’s lead, laying the groundwork for the victory.
Parma tried to fight back and recorded a total of 21 shots on goal, but failed to find the back of the net, as Perry made several key saves. In contrast, Torino found the back of the net again in the 69th minute, with Simeone scoring his second goal to seal the 0-3 victory.
