New developments are emerging in the case that has sent shockwaves through Greek basketball, with Vasso Tsaroucha and Ilias Piloidis at the center of the latest reports.
Specifically, Ilias Piloidis is reportedly considering taking legal action against Vangelis Tsapas, one of the key witnesses in the case. If he proceeds with this move, it will mark a new development in the already complex situation that has unfolded around the investigation.
At the same time, the statements Vasso Tsaroucha is reported to have made in her defense are of particular interest. According to relevant reports, she claims that the case is linked to personal conflicts she has with certain figures in the industry.
Tassos Piloidis’s testimony regarding the case concluded shortly before 5:00 p.m. on Monday (October 26) at the Evelpidon Court. This followed the testimonies of Ilias Koromilas and Vasso Tsaroucha, with the member of the Central Arbitration Committee being called to answer before the investigating judge regarding the charges against him.
Upon completion of the three scheduled hearings, the investigating judge will consult with the prosecutor to decide whether the three individuals testifying that day will be remanded in custody or released with or without restrictive conditions.
It should be noted that Vangelis Liolios, Giorgos Mavraghanis, and Petros Papapetrou have already been remanded in custody in connection with the same case. The decisions regarding the three defendants are awaited with particular interest, as they will determine the next steps in the case that has caused turmoil in Greek basketball.
