Real Madrid emerged as the big winner of the Clásico in Barcelona, as Kylian Mbappé scored two goals to seal the victory; the Madrid side prevailed 2-1 and narrowed the gap to the top of La Liga to three points.
Nevertheless, the Blaugrana came out on the losing end only on the field. On the financial front, after all, Barcelona’s management is rubbing its hands together after the record revenue generated by the Clásico, which surpassed any previous figure in the history of matches played at “Camp Nou.”
Specifically, “Mundo Deportivo” reveals that Barcelona set a historic revenue record at “Camp Nou,” raking in 19,105,768 euros from El Clásico ticket sales. This is the highest figure ever recorded for this stadium, although the revenue record was not accompanied by a record attendance.
The approximately 60,000 spectators in the stands were fewer than at the previous Clásico in Barcelona, but the increase in ticket prices and the expansion of VIP seating led to a surge in revenue.
