BAF presents the four artists participating in the Residency: Studio Mentoring Program 2026: Andreas Kelpis, Elin Yurtdaş, Savvas Gerolemidis, and Yeti. The program runs from September 28 to December 18, 2026, at the Foundation’s premises in Nicosia.
The Residency continues the BAF’s commitment to supporting emerging artistic voices in Cyprus by providing time, space, and guidance for the development of their artistic practice. Within this framework, the artists have the opportunity to test ideas, reexamine methods, and explore new directions through systematic studio work.

The four participants bring with them different artistic approaches, experiences, and fields of interest. Their coexistence within the Foundation’s space creates the conditions for daily exchange and meaningful dialogue, allowing individual research to evolve within an environment of shared creative activity.
They are guided by mentors Andreas Stylianou, Elpida Frageskidou, Maria Loizidou, and Maria Stathi, who also served on the selection committee for the artists. Through individual and group sessions, the mentoring program fosters an ongoing dialogue about each artist’s work, the choices that shape it, and the questions that arise during its development.
The Residency offers financial support and the opportunity to work on the Foundation’s premises, supporting artistic research, experimentation, and the creation of new work. Visits to studios and exhibitions, as well as meetings with artists and professionals from various fields, broaden the participants’ perspectives and create opportunities for dialogue and exchange.
The program will conclude with a two-month group exhibition featuring the four artists, showcasing the work developed over the course of the twelve weeks. More information about the exhibition and its dates will be announced shortly.
