The well-known actress lists the films that defined her career and are worth watching
On my must-see list today, as we speak, I’d put Mathieu Kassovitz’s French film *La Haine* first. Because the world belongs to us—and that “us” resonates with me today more than ever.
I’d also include Paolo Sorrentino’s *La grande bellezza*. For that opening scene, with “A far l’amore comincia tu” blaring, bodies swaying beneath the neon lights and the Martini, and all those questions born of ecstasy, excess, and emptiness.
Wim Wenders’ *Paris, Texas*, because this film—and this director—will always be on my list. A must-see, without a second thought.
And Leos Carax’s *Mauvais Sang* and *Holy Motors*, for everything he dares to say, for what he isn’t afraid to show, and for all those things he leaves hanging, without necessarily demanding an answer.
