The announcement in detail

“Following the meeting with the Deputy Minister of Sports, Mr. Ioannis Vroutsis, and the Secretary General of Sports, Mr. Georgios Mavrotas, the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Basketball Federation has decided to hold elections on Sunday, December 20, 2026, in accordance with the provisions of the bylaws and applicable legal procedures.

This decision reflects the Board’s desire to once again give the clubs a voice, without clinging to positions or titles, while ensuring a smooth transition to the administration that will emerge from the elections.
