Large demonstrations are expected again today in France, and authorities are imposing curfews and restrictions on gatherings following the riots and destruction that occurred in cities earlier this month.
Due to fears of further unrest, Paris has banned demonstrations in the city center, allowing them only on the outskirts. Local nighttime curfews will be reimposed in central areas.

However, the Paris Administrative Court ruled that a march between Place de la Bastille and Place de la Nation (Place de la Nation) in the city center may take place, according to French media reports. Interior Minister Laurent Nunez stated that an appeal will be filed against the decision.
Nouñez announced that there will be a heavy police presence on the streets, citing risks to public order and the danger of damage to stores.
Authorities expect hundreds of thousands of people to take part in the protests once again. Last weekend, 70,000 police officers were deployed to deal with protesters and looters.
Young people in France have been protesting for weeks for better staffing and equipment in schools, and since mid-October, other groups have joined them, protesting mainly against the high cost of living.
Following major disturbances on the fringes of rallies on October 17, police largely succeeded last Saturday in preventing further violence.
