Fourth consecutive victory for Petrolina AEK, which defeated ETHA
Thus, the Red-and-Yellows secured their fourth consecutive victory, remaining in first place alongside AEK (which also won today), while Anorthosis failed once again today to secure its first win of the season.
Crockett led the winners with 24 points (26 points), while Anorthosis’s Charles scored 32 points, including 8 three-pointers!
Anorthosis led for almost the entire first half, with Charles consistently scoring for his team, while Keravnos’ defense wasn’t quite as effective.
At the 10-minute mark, the visitors led 29-18 and continued to hold the lead early in the second quarter.
However, starting at the 15-minute mark, Keravnos found solutions—primarily on defense—and steadily closed the gap until they took the lead 40-39, and led 44-43 at the end of the first half.
In the third quarter, Anorthosis played better, maintaining a very fast pace, while Charles kept coming up with plays for his team.
The two teams were neck and neck, but at the 30-minute mark, the visitors took a 72-66 lead.
The margin narrowed again early in the fourth quarter.
But from the 35th minute onward, thanks mainly to the performance of Crockett and and Pasialis, Keravnos began to pull away, taking an 87-77 lead at the 36-minute mark and ultimately securing a 94-84 victory after a thrilling match.
