“Stefanos is the best this country has to offer in terms of political leadership,” says the AKEL lawmaker
Appearing as a guest on the “25 Minutes” segment of “Alpha on Sunday,” Christos Christofides highlights the need for cooperation to achieve the goal of political change. Although he makes it clear that the discussion about specific candidates has not yet begun, he does not rule out the possibility of Stefanos Stefanou running for office, describing him as the best the country’s political class has to offer.
The AKEL MP responds to the question of whether the party is afraid to govern, comments on the possibility of Andreas Mavroyiannis running for office, and shares his views on the names of Tassos Yiasemides and John Christodoulou.
At the same time, he comments on the prospects for cooperation with ALMA and Odysseas Michaelides, while noting that the recent statements by Eirini Charalambidou do not contribute to the effort to build a political base for progressive change.
Finally, it takes a position on the decision regarding the indefinite expulsion of Kostas Kostas from AKEL and addresses the question of where a party member’s right to disagree with the leadership ends and where anti-party behavior begins.
